A little something for my fan club…

<insert hysterical "George Jefferson" laugh here>  (I DON’T have a fan club.)
Anyway, here is a picture of the Spectrum Sweater, back portion, all properly spread out so you can see the sleeve sections and whatnot.  I have the cones standing on the top edge because it wants to curl up, but in reality it is straight across.  Inspector Bickie is checking it for mistakes.
It appears there is a darker horizontal section in the upper right (on the blue-green part).  That’s actually just a shadow.  Underneath that section is my needle with the matching colors for the front, so it’s causing a long bump/shadow where the back piece is lying over it.
Looking at it so nicely spread out like this, I’m really not sure WHAT I want to do about the color progressions.  I was going to rip out the hem and go from dark purple to ending at black.   But now it doesn’t look so bad, and really, who looks at the hem of a sweater?  Only someone staring at my butt, which doesn’t happen often, let me tell you.  So I might leave that part the way it is.  Of course, people may stare at my butt MORE, saying, "Look at that bad color progression!"
And then, I had been planning to work some more blue purple on both the front and back, higher up (at the neckline/shoulders).  But it looks pretty good the way it is.  If I change that, and leave the hem as is, I’ll end up with purple at the neck and hem – and I don’t like the idea of breaking that progression.  So I’d either have to change the hem AND the neckline, so all my blue purple ends up at the neckline, or leave it the way it is all over.
Natch, leaving it the way it is means I might finish it in time to wear bowling on New Year’s.  If I start changing it all, then I’ll end up with migraines, and probably won’t finish it until January 18.  Lazy Donna is really beginning to lean towards leaving it as is. Perfectionist Donna is screaming "Fix it!  Fix it!" and beating Lazy Donna into submission with a size 35 knitting needle.
If you have any real opinion on whether I should change it or leave it, please contact me.  To clarify, the "changing it" option means removing the light purple at the hem, and adding two shades of blue purple at the neck.

OK, just so you know…by the time I finished typing this post, I knew what I was going to do about it.  Care to guess?

Ooooo! I like it! For some reason, it looks different all stretched out. Personally I wouldn\’t change it. 🙂 IMO.
