Souvenir of Devon

Here is a sweater I designed and started knitting while we were on vacation.  Just finished and blocked it today.  I learned a few things:  although this fits me well, the stripes weren’t quite in line where I wanted them.  So I need to measure more instead of just estimating.  Also, I knit more tightly in the round on metal needles than back and forth on wooden needles.  However, it’s a perfectly serviceable sweater, so I don’t feel the time spent knitting and designing was wasted.

On the model (ha ha). I'd wanted the skinny stripes to start a few inches lower down.
