Seeking the Snow

Today we decided it wouldn’t be Christmas vacation without a little snow, so we togged up and headed for Snoqualmie.  They have a nice little area dug out for people who don’t want to ski, so the boys had a little snowball fight before climbing to the top of the snow heaps and playing King of the World.

The view over the mountain (which Alex was facing in the above photo) looked pretty spectacular too.

Ominous. From where we were standing, it did not look this gloomy.

Another Year Older…

…and…uh…smarter than ever!  Yeah!  That sounds good.

Thanks to everyone who sent me birthday wishes (and more) this year.  In local birthday news, Chris replaced my old knitting chair (whose bottom had begun to sag – please withhold any rude commentary here) – with a new adjustable recliner.  It’s being delivered sometime between 8:30 and 10:30 this morning.  Pics when in situ.

(Now…what can I spend all those gift certs on?!)

Health Care

“I’m gonna crack my knuckles and jump for joy/I’ve got a clean bill of health from Dr. McCoy!”

(Quote from an original Star Trek episode called “The Way to Eden.”)

Alex and I both had our annual physicals today and we each got an A+.
